Simulated Day of an International student
Students enroll in a first or second-year high school class, and follow the same schedule as Kenmei Academy students. In addition to attending general practical lessons, international students participate in special programs and extracurricular lessons that give them opportunities to experience both traditional and modern Japanese culture.

Morning
Students will ride the train or take the bus from their homestay to school.

8:25 Arrive at school
Kenmei Academy's traditional "Stop, Bow, and Smile."
Students stop to greet one another with a warm, friendly smile. -
8:30 Morning prayer
Students sing the week's hymn, say the daily prayer, and listen to the week's scripture reading.
Students then have a minute of silence before classes start in order to calm their mind for the day ahead. -
8:40 Morning reading, quiz
Junior high school students improve their reading comprehension abilities with a morning reading, and high school students confirm their learning progress through quizzes.
These activities form a unique habit of repetition and thus solidify all that they have learned. -
9:00~ Morning classes
Students develop and improve skills as well as gain self-confidence showing what they learned during lively, well-paced classes.
Tablets used in classes satisfy students' intellectual curiosity. -
12:40 lunch break
Some students eat packed lunches in the classrooms, and other students enjoy a school menu that includes keema curry, ramen, and udon noodles in the cafeteria.
Handmade bread and lunch boxes (which can be reserved in the morning) are also on sale ♪ -
13:20~ Afternoon classes
Teachers provide support to every student’s individual needs and provide detailed guidance in order to enhance a student's understanding of their respective fields.

15:00 Cleaning
Everyone shares the responsibility of cleaning classrooms and common spaces.
Students and teachers clean together to keep the school neat and tidy. -
15:20 End of day prayer
After cleaning, a minute of silence is performed to reflect back on the day and calm the mind.
The schedule for the day ahead is then confirmed in SHR (short home room). -
16:00~ After school
Club activitiesEach student’s personality shines through in his or her sports and cultural activities. Their bright and energetic voices make the school feel immersed in positive energy.
All the school's facilities are full of students! -
Self study
High school students can use the self-study rooms until 19:30.
Students can ask a teacher directly if there is anything they don't understand.
